During this evening our scholar group boarded a tourist boat in Rotterdam for dinner and a tour of the harbour and port.
I was soon to discover that this is a huge trading port supplying Europe.
In fact Rotterdam on the North Sea, is the third largest port in the world. Very industrial. We saw miles and miles of large freight ships being loaded with shipping containers. This is happening 24/7.
We saw the largest oil drilling rig from the North Sea in dry dock for maintenance. Enormous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
